About Shannon Burch

Hello, I’m Shannon Burch a lifelong Puyallup resident. Throughout my childhood I attended Puyallup schools and am a proud graduate of Rogers High School. My husband and I are thankful for the opportunity to raise our children in Puyallup where we are surrounded by family, friends, and a great community. We have two Emerald Ridge High School graduates and two children currently enrolled in the Puyallup School District. I am excited for the opportunity to run for Puyallup School District Board of Directors. I have a high regard for the district and what it offers our students. As a Board Director, I will support pathways for student academic success, positive changes in the transportation infrastructure, and continued visibility to district activities. I will encourage two-way communication, family engagement and volunteering with a common goal of improving the school experience for students, parents and teachers.

I believe a strong community provides our children with security and support. While volunteering in my children’s classrooms and working alongside other parents at school events, I see the benefits of community and building relationships. Growing up in Puyallup, my schooling experience prepared me for my professional career and life as a productive citizen; I want the same for my children and the generations to come. I value academic achievement, the arts, athletics, Career and Technical Education, and appreciate the many diverse opportunities the District offers. 

I love the Puyallup School District and look forward to serving as a Board Director.
